Short History of Computers Laptop

Several times that man wanted a portable computer, but the first idea of Laptop came in the late 1960 with the Dynabook, but this Tablet PC was mainly for children. In the early 80s that the first truly portable computer was developed, it was the Osborne 1 it has no batteries, (it had to be AC powered), but at least the data and computer could be transported.
Years later in 1983, the Compaq Portable computers were released. Although it considered not much better than the previous Osborne 1, but Compaq Portable is using MS-DOS a legal clone of IBM-PC that became a standard platform that time, and make them got an instant success.
Released in 1981, was the Epson HX-20, a nickel battery powered portable computer, with a LCD display construct of 20-character by 4 line and an integrated printer.
The Compass 1101 produced by Dulmont Magnum introduced around the same time. It’s give us the flip design of the laptop computers, with the screen folded shut over the keyboard.
The later years more new input devices and technique were introduced such as touch pad (used by Gavilan SC, 1983), pointing stick (IBM ThinkPad 700, 1992), and handwriting recognition (Linus Write-Top, 1987).
The year 1983 also saw the launch of what was probably the biggest-selling early laptop, the Kyocera Kyotronic 85, The machines ran on standard AA batteries. A built-in programs, including a BASIC interpreter, a text editor, and a terminal program, were Microsoft products, Due to its portability, good battery life (and ease of replacement), reliability (it had no moving parts), and low price, the model was highly regarded, becoming a favorite among journalists The machine was in fact about the size of a paper notebook, but the term had yet to come into use and it was generally described as a “portable” computer.
Since Computers Technology growing up fast with, newer, faster chips, So Laptop Computers also developing step by step to become what we see today as laptop computers.
